ABOUT ME
Professor Marcia Devlin is the Senior Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Victoria University.
A psychologist by discipline, Marcia is a strategic, award-winning leader and is internationally recognised as a thought leader in tertiary education. She is an experienced executive and a graduate member of the AICD and has extensive expertise in governance, strategy, risk, HR and financial management and marketing, media and communications.
With colleagues, Marcia has won almost $6 million in competitive research and other grants. She has over 300 publications, comprising refereed, academic, professional and media outputs, and has given more than 90 keynote and invited addresses in nine countries. Marcia is a strong and vocal advocate for the transformative role of tertiary education as both a mechanism for social justice and a driver of innovation.
She is also a champion for women in education and a strong and vocal advocate for closing the gender pay gap and increasing the representation of women in senior leadership.
